allTech equine advantage
For well over three decades AllTech has lead the way in providing natural and sustainable solutions, technical information and support to all sectors of the global animal nutrition industry. While you may never have heard of them, they’re the world’s largest producer of organic trace minerals and their products form the key ingredients in some of the most effective (and most expensive) natural based equine nutrition products money can buy.
They use their scientific innovation to develop natural and sustainable solutions to advance the health and performance of humans, plants and animals through nutrition. At the very fore-front of animal nutrition research they aim to raise aware of livestock and equine health issues and seek to provide solutions to these issues through nutrition aiming not only to improve the health and performance of our horses but to reduce use of synthetic products, drugs and chemicals in our animals.
Their business goal says it all… helping farmers feed the world, raise healthy animals and protect the environment… naturally!
Here at IH we believe feeding horses naturally doesn’t mean a compromise in quality or innovation; it means taking the best bits you might find in those pretty packaged feed bags and supplement tubs and throwing out the unnecessary fillers, additives and preservatives and providing our horses the most natural options to allow them to thrive.
It is to this end that we supply AllTech products pure and unadulterated. Allowing you to give your horse only what he needs be healthy, no elaborate packaging, pretty colours, and certainly no fancy price tags, just the essentials.
Bio-Mos is a key ingredient in many of the most expensive probiotic supplements, healthy digestion aids and general digestive enhancer. It is derived from a specific strain of yeast and helps promote Gastrointestinal (GI) health and integrity. It is not a vitamin or mineral supplement; the sole job of Bio-Mos is to ‘feed the good bacteria in the GI tract’ and thus it plays a critical role in nutrition by helping to create the optimum environment for good bacteria in the gut to thrive. Not only is a healthy gut more resilient to attack but it also offers great absorption of key nutrients.
In addition Bio-Mos has been developed to selectively bind to bad bacteria (eg salmonella and e coli), and remove them from the gastrointestinal tract through the natural processes of excretion. Several studies indicate feeding Bio-Moss to pregnant mares increases the immunity in new born foals.
What Bio-Mos does:
- Assets in development and maintenance of healthy gut bacteria, improving body condition through times of stress such as weaning , moving home and change feed;
- Binds harmful bad bacteria (eg salmonella and e coli) for natural expulsion;
- Improves nutrient transfer from mare to foal;
- Feeds healthy gut bacteria thus improving nutrient absorption.
Hang around the natural horse world and sooner or later you’ll come across the word, mycotoxins. But how many of us realise the dangers that little word holds?
Horses and ponies can be exposed to mycotoxins in pasture, as well as through forage, bedding and hard feed. Any horse no matter how well managed may be exposure to mycotoxins at one time or another, whether through toxins from fungi that live on actively growing grass of spring and summer, or those that thrive on preserved forages such as hay or haylage we feed in the autumn and winter months.
Research into mycotoxins has shown they present a real threat to the performance and health of our horses; problems commonly associated with mycotoxicoses include:
- Reduced growth rates
- Decreased appetite
- Poor performance
- Respiratory problems
- Reproductive and fertility problems
- Increased susceptibility to disease
- Brain lesions
- Neurological disorders
- Organ damage – especially liver, kidneys
While legislation protects us humans by limiting the amount of mycotoxins allowed into the human food chain, shockingly there is currently no enforcement of mycotoxin limits in any form of animal feed ANYWHERE.
The inconvenient truth is that while we do all we can to provide the very best feed and forage for our horses sooner or later they will be exposed to these natural toxins. It is to for that end that Mycosorb has been developed. Mycosorb is a cracked cell, modified yeast culture whose sole purpose is to absorb and bind mycotoxins ingested by your horse from the environment and feed and to safely transport them out the body via excretion. It will not bond to healthy bacteria, or effect the abortion of vitamins and minerals its only purpose is trap mycotoxins and prevent them from being absorbed by your horse’s gastrointestinal tract.
Found in may of the very best probiotics Yea-Sacc is a yeast culture based on saccharomyces cerevisiae 1026. Unlike many commercial products that use bakers or brewers yeast which are essentially inactive Yea-Sacc uses a living yeast culture. Research has shown that Yea-Sacc 1026 assists with the healthy natural fermentation of feed, enabling more efficient use of the nutrients in the diet and increasing fibre and protein digestion.
Yea-Sacc has proven to be particularly helpful to those horses suffering from digestive upset (either through change of feed, situation or stress), prone to colic and tying up, horses with insulin resistance or low grade laminitis, more senior equines, or in less than ideal condition.
